Kirtan is a devotional practice of Bhakti Yoga that involves chanting mantras, usually in a group, in a call-and-response format. Through the repetition of sacred sounds — often in Sanskrit — Kirtan has the power to calm the mind, open the heart, and awaken a deep sense of inner connection.
More than a musical performance, Kirtan is a form of sound meditation. There is no need to “know how to sing” — the focus is on vibration, intention, and surrender. As the mantras are chanted, the mind slows down, the ego softens, and the practitioner is invited into a state of presence, devotion, and union — with oneself, with others, and with something greater.
Often accompanied by instruments such as the harmonium, tablas, drum, or kartals, Kirtan creates a vibrant, immersive, and transformative atmosphere. It is an accessible practice for anyone wishing to experience Yoga through sound, emotion, and the energy of the heart.
Yoga workshops are longer and more in-depth gatherings than regular classes, designed to explore specific themes of the practice in greater detail.
With more time and space, it becomes possible to dive into areas such as specific postures (āsanas), alignment, breathing (prāṇāyāma), meditation, yoga philosophy, or even topics related to self-care and body awareness. Workshops offer a more educational and experiential approach, combining theory and practice in an accessible and enriching way.
They are ideal both for those who wish to deepen their practice and for beginners seeking to better understand the foundations of yoga. Throughout the workshop, there is space to experiment, ask questions, reflect, and integrate — in a safe, welcoming, and unhurried environment.
More than learning about yoga, the goal is to experience it in a more conscious and profound way.
